SoccerstarsUK is a leading provider of children’s football coaching in Derby and the surrounding areas, delivering high quality football sessions for children of all abilities. Since 2003, SoccerstarsUK has been passionate about providing both boys and girls with the opportunity to learn new football skills and develop existing ones in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
We specialise in youth football development, supporting children from their very first experience of football at the grassroots level through to elite performance pathways. Our structured football coaching programmes are designed to be fun, engaging, and age appropriate, ensuring every child enjoys their football journey while developing essential technical skills, physical skills, teamwork, confidence, and discipline both on and off the pitch.
As a trusted name in junior football coaching in Derbyshire, we pride ourselves on delivering professional, inclusive, and inspiring training sessions that help children grow in ability and self belief.
In 2017, we launched SportStarsUK following demand from local primary school teachers who wanted high quality sports coaching provision across a variety of sports not solely football.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of Primary School PE, PPA cover, extra-curricular sports clubs, and multisport Holiday Courses throughout Derby, Nottingham, Burton and the surrounding areas. By providing experienced PE coaches and structured programmes, we help schools deliver engaging physical education that supports long term athletic development and promotes healthy, active lifestyles.
In 2020, The Soccerstars Foundation CIC, the charitable arm of SoccerstarsUK, was launched. The Foundation is committed to engaging, developing, and educating young people and families across Derbyshire and neighbouring communities.
Through a wide variety of inclusive football sessions, community sports programmes, and outreach initiatives, we strive to create meaningful opportunities for children to stay active, build confidence, and thrive within their communities. Our focus is on accessibility, inclusion, and positive community impact through sport.
Our Philosophy
At SoccerstarsUK, we create fun, safe, and engaging football sessions for children in Derby and the surrounding areas. Our structured programme develops key skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, balance, and teamwork through imaginative games and activities. Every session ends with a themed tournament, giving children the chance to play as their favourite teams and feel like stars in their own World Cup Final. Our goal is simple, make sport exciting, inclusive, and memorable for every child.
Our Philosophy
Our team of 40+ qualified coaches deliver professional, age-appropriate football coaching for children of all abilities. With FA qualifications, we ensure high standards across all sessions. Through regular CPD training and formal assessments, we continually maintain quality, helping children build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong love of sport. Furthermore, all SoccerstarsUK staff are formally assessed every 12 weeks to ensure they consistently deliver the highest quality football training sessions and multisport coaching programmes.

All coaches hold up to date qualifications, enhanced DBS checks, and follow strict safeguarding policies. With regular FA and external safeguarding reviews, we ensure the highest standards of care, giving parents and schools complete confidence in our coaching provision. Our priority is to provide parents and schools with complete confidence that their children are receiving the very best football coaching and sports provision in Derby and the surrounding areas.
